Savate is an ideal sport for young people to learn new skills, make friends and improve fitness. They can also learn to understand and follow rules, and discover how they can become responsible participants and organizers of sport activities.
The International Savate Federation runs several programmes to offer support to players, coaches and officials around the world. These include: training for adult officials, training for adult coaches, anti-doping awareness for adult and youth athletes, training for youth officials.
Past programmes included:
Spring 2021, FISav organised online courses for judges and referees, in both English and French languages. More than 350 people from 44 countries joined the courses.
In June 2021, FISav hosted a 4 session course for coaches and athletes preparing for the 2021 World Cup in Assaut and the Qualifying Tournament for the World Combat Championship.
In February 2022, 2023 and 2024, FISav partnered with the Croatian Savate Federation to run international seminars in arbitrage for aspiring judges and referees.
