On this page, you can find information about social programmes and projects run by Savate clubs and national Savate federations around the world.
Croatia
Savate klub „Šimunec-Gym“, Croatia, works with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Varaždin County to offer free training sessions for the members of the MS Society. The sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, are conducted under the expert guidance of the club physiotherapist.
France
Savate is an ideal sport for children and young people around the world to learn how to become responsible organizers of sport activities and leaders in their community.
The French Federation has developed a programme of training young players to become officials and coaches. The work is so successful that the French Youth Championships are made without adults, except as safety supervisors. The judges, referees and ring officials are all children. The young athletes are also coached by children. The parents remain in the tribunes.
India
The Savate Association India was set up following a visit by Savate Ambassadors. It has developed rapidly, and now runs a programme called ‘Sunday for Savate’ in which member clubs and states are encouraged to offer free training in Savate to children. Hundreds of children enjoy regular classes, improving their fitness and learning new skills.

Madagascar
Madagascar is a long-standing member of the International Savate Federation. The federation works with young people in all regions of the country, through the Maisons de Jeunes. Many of their young athletes can’t afford to buy new equipment, such as gloves and Savate boots. Donations of new and secondhand equipment (thoroughly cleaned and disinfected) have been sent them to Madagascar through the FISav SavateBien project, and distributed to promising Savate athletes in Antanarivo.
Peru
With the support of the municipality of Los Morochucos, our Ambassador, Sebastien Zollkau, gave presentations to primary and high school children. He also taught workshops for young people from the Rivacayco district and Pacapausa district high schools. The youngsters were very receptive and impressed that Sebastien had represented their country internationally and obtained medals for Peru. Sebastien also taught at the Coracora (capital of the Parinacochas District) at the Institute of Higher Education of the Province, which trains future physical education teachers. When Covid permits, FISav will organise further seminars in Peru.
Senegal
Senegal is a long-standing member of the International Savate Federation. The federation works with young people of all backgrounds, and is actively developing their capacity by training new instructors.
